Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining our online information practices.
The Information We Collect This notice applies to all information collected on or submitted from the monroetown.com website. The only places where personally identifiable information is requested on this site is on the various "Contact Us" pages and on the "Recycling Volunteers" scheduling page. On these pages, the type of personal information requested is:
Name E-Mail addres Phone Number (optional, include it if you want us to phone you)
We do not store this information after we have replied to you! Your e-mails are deleted.
The Way We Use Information - We use the information you provide ONLY to respond to your message - We do not share this information with ANY outside parties. - We do not store this information. - We use return e-mail addresses the answer any e-mail we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties. We do not keep your e-mail address once we have responded to you. - We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design this website and understand what pages seem of greatest interest to site visitors. For example, we may see that X number of people have accessed the photos page but no one accesses the local clubs page. In this case, we would place greater emphasis on keeping the photos page current, and have less concern about the clubs page. - We have no way of knowing who is accessing the website, how often, or what they are doing while they visit. This information is only provided by Weebly at an aggregate level (i.e., 20 different visits to the site in week X with an average of 5 page views per visit.)
Things Beyond Our Control You will notice there are multiple "contact" forms within this site. Some are directed to the webmasters, in which case this entire privacy policy applies. However, some of the forms are directed to local businesses, or to other people in town (i.e., Town Clerk, Selectmen's Office). In these instances, we cannot control how any information you provide is used. We feel pretty comfortable with all the folks in town, but if you don't, then you may wish to not use these forms.
Our Commitment to Data Security To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
Our Commitment to Children's Privacy Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structure to attract anyone under 13. We do not upload content that we consider objectionable or inappropriate for anyone of any age. Further, we very rarely post links to other sites which we know may contain objectionable content, such as YouTube.com. If we do publish photos submitted by site users of area children, we make every effort to obtain explicit permission from parents of children in the photos. Further, children will at most be referred to by their first name, never their full (first + last) names. This is true even if children have signed full disclosure releases through 4H, the Library, etc. This is the standard we would wish for our own child, and it significantly exceeds Federal COPPA (Children's On-Line Privacy Protection Act) standards.
The Website Calendar We maintain a calendar using Google's Calendar system, and you see a snapshot of this on the home page. If you have an event you would like listed, please contact us, either via the "Contact Us" form, or by phoning 638-3002. We make every attempt to keep the calendar current; however, if an event coordinator cancels or changes an event and does not inform us, we cannot be responsible for any inconvenience (but we can be sorry.)
Links to Outside Websites This site provides a large number of links to sites maintained by other people or businesses. Please understand that once you click on a link and go to another website, we have no control over what privacy policy that particular site may be using. If you provide personal information to an outside website, we do not see it, control it, or have any influence over what they do with it. If you've had a bad experience with a site we link to, please let us know, and we will consider removing their link.
How You Can Access or Correct Your Information If you've requested a reply from us and believe you may have supplied an incorrect e-mail aadress (maybe because you have not heard back from us, and you happen to know we're NOT on vacation!), simply recontact us with a question or correction. If you're not sure, just call us, 638-3002.
How to Contact Us Should you have other questions or concerns that are not addressed here, please call Bryan or Eileen at 603-638-3002, or e-mail us at webmaster@monroetown.com.
