Monroe has a drop-off, NO SORTING REQUIRED recycling program.    The  drop-off is located at the Municipal Garage on Woodsville Road (between the school and Winchester Drive, behind the ice skating rink.)    The drop-off is open 24/7.  If you need assistance with your recycling, please call Bryan or Eileen at 638-3002 and we will arrange to meet you.    (Please note that the drop-off is no longer 'staffed' on Saturday mornings.   So few people were coming that our volunteers were getting pretty bored!)

If you have already been recycling at one of the  area's other facilities, such as Littleton or East Ryegate, you should know that  there is NO sorting required for Monroe.  Casella Waste Management is handling sorting for us at the Williston, VT facility.  You will need to empty your recyclables out of your primary container into the dumpster; you can't 'sling' a large plastic trash bag  in.  Help will be available if you need it.   Not sure  what you can recycle?   Go to
Recycling Guidelines, where you can view or download a copy of  the  guidelines.

Do you live in a nearby town?   We must ask that you kindly recycle in your own town.   Although we love that everyone wants to be a little bit 'greener', because we pay to have our recycling hauled away, it is meant for Monroe residents only.   Thank you for understanding.
